The company located in Braga, Portugal, was, once again, distinguished as a SME of Excellence (PME Excelência), a statute that IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Inovation, I.P. – annually assigns to the Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises that, due to their performance in the market, contribute to the country’s competitivity abilility.
Balanças Marques, the major weighing equipment manufacturer in Portugal, was distinguished with the SME of Excellence statute 2019. It’s the third time the company receives the distinction, assigned, this year, to 2338 small and medium-sized enterprises that, according to IAPMEI, stood out for their management indicators and the results accomplished on an economical and financial level.
To Balanças Marques, “it’s, as always, a great reason of pride to receive this recognition from IAPMEI and be a part of this list of companies”. According to the administration, this is one more proof of the “excellent work” the company has been conducting over the last few years, namely on its internationalization process and on the development of innovative products. “This SME of Execellence statute comes to prove, once more, the admirable work we’ve been developing and which we owe, mainly, to the dedication of our partners and costumers and to the efforts of our employees”, they refer.
“We thank all our employees for this, and we hope that, just as us, they look at this news as a sign of hope for the future”, adds a member of the administration. “This distinction arrives on a particularly difficult time for all the companies in Portugal, but it’s the confirmation 2019 was, in fact, a year of great conquests to us and that we have to keep focus on our goals”.
Besides this SME Excellence statute 2019, Balanças Marques has conquered, last year, the eighth place on the list of 100 Best Companies to Work at in Portugal, published by Revista Exame, and won the category of Best Weighing Company in the World, on Weighing Review Awards.
